Problem

The problem

Nokia Siemens Networks' team wanted to develop internal capability for running strategy sessions using LEGO® Serious Play®. They needed a certified facilitator training customised to their strategy-creation context — not a standard course.

02
Approach

The approach

Designed and delivered an LSP facilitator certification training focused on framing strategic questions, connecting model-building to inference, and creating shared strategic identity in a group. Adapted the methodology to Nokia's specific strategic challenges.

Result

The result

The Nokia team completed certification and acquired tools for internal strategy sessions. The organisation gained the capability to run LSP-based sessions without an external facilitator. Six-month follow-up showed internal sessions continued and the team independently formulated strategic questions for use in sessions.

What I learned

What I learned

Transferring capability is different from running a process. In facilitator training the goal is not a “good session” — it is for participants to understand why every decision was made, not just what was done. That requires more metacommunication than a standard training.
